One can find a copy of this book on this Gdrive Share. It is a harrowing read, as Steere describes how Antonio Subirats sexually assaulted her. It also describes interactions with Nathan Roberts, Awake Souls and Dean Odle, and the bullying and abuse she received when she left.

Why are some self-appointed flat earth leaders saying unsavory things about why I left flat earth?

It brings to mind a quote by Upton Sinclair: "It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends upon his not understanding it".

Mark Sargent’s identity and way of life is tied to flat earth in much the same way Eric Dubay and David Weiss’s are. They’ll sell anyone down the river who tries to undermine flat earth even if they come from within the community speaking truth.

I left the flat earth community after finding new information that put to rest what I'd believed for ten years, prompted by TFE which stands for The Final Experiment. It was a multi part series of many scientific experiments done over several days in Antarctica in late 2024, with two teams. A flat earth team and a globe earth team. The mission was to prove flat or globe. I’m not affiliated with the YouTube channel The Final Experiment, channel owner Will Duffy or the experiments.

Flat earth has long asserted there isn’t a 24 hour sun in Antarctica. There can’t be, if the AE map that flat earth relies upon, is to be believed. The map can’t work unless the sun sets every night in Antarctica. It doesn’t set all of the time. It stays up for 24 hours at a specific time of the year, as proved by the TFE experiment.

Flat earthers maintained the 24 hour sun didn’t exist for the entire ten years I was in the community. Other falsehoods they stated about Antarctica: you can’t explore freely, there’s an armed military presence and only the elite can go. I learned that’s not true and hundreds of normal people go to Antarctica and view the 24 hour sun yearly. All it takes is money.

After TFE concluded, when I was still mulling it over, I hoped the 24 hour sun could be explained on a flat earth. It can’t. That’s why flat earthers were lied to that there wasn’t one and then sold the AE map which requires the absence of a 24 hour sun. It took TFE to reveal this and more to me.

I tried discussing TFE with Mark Sargent. I was a cohost on his show. We’d known each other for ten years. He ignored TFE. I encouraged the booking of guests on Mark’s show who claimed to be able to explain the 24 hour sun. I wanted flat earth to be true so badly yet the explanations fell flat. Meanwhile more videos of various experiments done in Antarctica during TFE kept dealing blows to flat earth.

There was more on my mind than just TFE, however. There was a SpaceX rocket launch video I saw that Jeran Campanella filmed from where he lives in California. In it the rocket wasn't seen at first when launched and the only explanation I could find was it was hidden by the curve of the earth. Mark refused to watch the video I sent him because Jeran was involved.

Jeran is one of the flat earthers who went to Antarctica for TFE. It changed his mind from flat to globe. Jeran, prior to TFE, had been a committed flat earther who spent ten years doing videos and has a large YouTube following. Mark branded him a Judas after TFE and would no longer speak his name. Instead referring to him as J.

After seeing the rocket launch video I wanted Mark to clear it up for me. To pick it apart. To show me how earth is still flat and the rocket video is an optical illusion or something. Instead he shut me down and refused to engage, offering only quips about Elon Musk. That's not what I wanted. I wanted science.

I once respected Mark Sargent although we’d had our differences over the years, until he turned on me in order to explain why I left flat earth without exposing its weaknesses to his audience. To save his identity, he had to make me and others the bad guys. Deep cover agents who were unscrupulous, even criminal, who would accept money and material goods to jump ship.

Mark Sargent is if nothing else, a storyteller. He’s spent a lot of time studying conspiracies and basically made one up about me and two flat earth friends of mine who decided that TFE had collectively burst our flat earth bubble.

Since I was doing a weekly show with Mark, he couldn’t tell his audience that I’d simply changed my mind about flat earth and wished me well. The saying “once you go flat you never go back” no longer was true. So he concocted a Hollywood movie style scenario by way of explanation, that included drama, intrigue, money and prison. His audience drank it down like a conspiracy cocktail and asked for more.

Mark claimed I’d suddenly "flipped" globe in our private conversation with no warning after spewing pro globe slogans on one random day, out of the blue, apropos of nothing, and cut contact with him. The truth is, I was messaging him on Skype and we had a phone call. He refused to even consider the things I was worried about regarding TFE and the rocket launch. I decided then it was best to depart the flat earth community.

I wrote him a letter on Skype and said he could and maybe should read it on his show to explain why I was leaving flat earth, using my own words. He not only didn't do that, he never responded to my letter to him and he never spoke to me again.

He then created a series of dramatic shows on his channel and over the top interviews on other people’s channels, where he explained that my departure and others from the scene were a conspiracy planned out for years, one in which I was facing up to 20 years in prison after pulling a crypto scam, was desperately seeking funds and ripe for blackmail, after loosing my shirt in crypto. Then I was rescued by some unnamed authority figure and blackmailed with a new Mercedes and money to leave the flat earth community and my looming prison sentence was dropped. All that was lies.

Mark was bold enough to say on a show that during the time I was still pondering the 24 hour sun being a reality but before I decided to leave the community, he’d have cut off my microphone and ejected me from his show if I spoke of it.

Here’s how Mark put the flesh on the skeleton of his conspiracy Frankenstein monster: using truth as the basis for lies.

I’ve owned multiple new Mercedes over the years and now have a new C class Mercedes. I traded in my 2021 C class for it a few days before my birthday and put it on my Instagram after the dealer affixed a big red bow to it. Mark saw the Instagram photo and used it as fodder for his conspiracy.

Mark rode in my new 2017 Mercedes during the filming of Behind The Curve many times and it’s in the documentary. He never mentioned that when he said I was bought off with a Mercedes, because it invalidates his lies. He made it seem like I went from rags to riches in 2024 after receiving the car as a pay off.

An impending prison sentence was created out of thin air because myself and two other flat earthers did a crypto show years ago on YouTube focused on one crypto. The crypto did well at first then didn’t do so well, as often happens with cryptos. We didn’t sell crypto or offer contracts. We were more like unpaid cheerleaders. We didn’t found the crypto or manage it. In fact the people who managed it changed it up and the three of us who did the show decided to stop because we were no longer confident in the direction the management of the crypto was going. We also didn’t want to accidentally break any SEC rules or even appear to.

There were never illegal activities regarding the crypto or on our shows but we closed shop on our YouTube channel so we wouldn’t get caught in legal crossfire if the crypto were ever investigated by the SEC. It never was and the crypto still exists today. Myself and my friends were never investigated. At the time there was panic in the crypto world with many cryptos under fire.

Mark Sargent’s audiences bought his stories because he told them with conviction while leaving out pertinent details. His audience didn't ask questions. They believe the lie that some undercover authority figure is out there blackmailing people to destroy the flat earth movement so logic dictates the earth has to be flat.

Why would I be targeted by blackmailers when I wasn’t making content on my tiny YouTube channel, so wasn’t influential? Anyone who had paid me to leave flat earth would expect me to publicly bash flat earth. With my small social media footprint how would they gain any traction from me doing that?

Why if I suffered such great crypto losses in 2019 (as claimed) that financially destroyed me, do I still have the same house? Why wasn’t I forced to downsize?

I’m disappointed in my accusers, yet I’m happy to be free. I learned they actually never cared about me or my ideas, unless I toed the line and remained a flat earther. I was thrown under the bus (or should I say Mercedes) so no one would think my decision to leave was rational.

Lies were crafted about why myself and others left, because flat earth leaders didn’t want to “scare the herd”. Alerting flat earthers to the truth of why we exited could cause a stampede. Better to trash people’s reputations with unhinged stories. After all, the leaders know flat earthers will believe whatever they’re told and repeat it.

I was approached by nobody and given nothing by anyone to change my mind about flat earth. I got into it in 2015 alone and exited it alone in late 2024, using my own guidance.

Research skills are rare in the flat earth community. What isn’t rare are vivid imaginations, meanness and a willingness to lie. There’s also some who just want a sense of community or feel flat earth is tied to their religion.

Some of the same people calling me a sellout now were calling me a transgender man, a CIA agent because the name Patricia ends with the letters CIA, a satanist and a witch a few short years ago.

Say what you wish about earth’s shape. The most important thing is the shape of your character. I walk away safe in the knowledge that I have not besmirched mine. As for others, I can’t say the same.

Mark if you have a minute I'm having serious issues regarding Flat Earth I'm going to have to bow out of it. I know I've done this before and probably sound crazy. Please don't be mad let's just remove me from Strange World for good. Not for a break.

My reason is that I have doubts about flat earth now.

We thought in the past we had science and now it appears we don't.

After 10 years there's no actual working model. Joseph Hanveys model is great. He's also a really nice guy but it relies too much on speculation. There is a 24-hour sun in Antarctica. the AE map is toast. It only works some of the time.

That's not good enough. I can't stand behind anymore. After looking into this for a while. I don't solidly believe the Earth's flat.

I could be wrong of course. I don't want to cause a commotion and create drama. This isn't about me. So I'm not doing anything but pulling out of being a spokesperson for Flat Earth. I'm not going to be a promoter of the globe or flat now.

The southern pole system shows the globe. The sun is moving in Antarctica like it would on a globe. In Antarctica the sun spots were in the globe predicted positions. The sun even moved right to left. These are things formerly that I didn't believe were true. The Antarctica trip showed me otherwise especially with the 24-hour sun. I went over rocket launch video Jeran did February 10th that I sent to you and Chris Van Matre who is a land surveyor and often on globe Busters Tech and was a good friend of Bob Knodell and Cammy. He is respected in the community and does long distance photography. He measures things for a living. We both can't justify what happened in the video. I'm not saying Chris went Globe. I don't know his position on the issue.

I haven't forgotten what I've learned about lasers how we see too far Etc and how water is flat but I think there's some other explanation for that. As I said before I could be wrong.

So please remove me from your Show lineup. I'm not coming back.

I've been thinking about this for a while, searching my heart to find a solution to this all I can find is I was wrong and it's my fault no one else's. That's a decision I have made for myself and I won't push on. I won't push it on any anyone else.

I'm going to privatize my old Flat Earth videos on my channel and turn it into something else.

I wish to act with Integrity. I have changed my opinion based on new information that has been presented.
