Rusty is a celebrity canine known for making Dave McKeegan videos tolerable to watch. He exhibits an irresistible charm and magnetic personality with a dash of modesty. His talents include running, fetching, scratching and sleeping.

Rusty requires constant scratches and rubs from Dave, and if it stops for longer than a 2 seconds, paws start swinging. As a canine he has a higher than needed intelligence to debunk flat earth.

Post about Rusty in Space Basically the Mark Rober channel created a photo selfie satellite project where he launched a satellite into space with 2 phones to take selfies. You could submit a photo to Mark who uploaded the picture to the first phone and displayed it on screen. The second phone would take a picture of the first with the earth in the background. You could also request it be timed so the picture would be taken while the satellite was above your location. The end result was you could get a picture of a picture of yourself in space with the earth and yourself far below in the background.

Real Biography

Note Most of what is known about Rusty has been hidden from the public to protect Dave's ego. The following is an unbiased and truthful account of Rusty's life. Background Dave had been making bland videos since his channels beginning. They were lackluster, boring, and almost unwatchable. The struggling channel was on the brink of disaster, somehow earning more thumbs down than views. The comment section for every video was only filled with hateful messages. Typical comments under the videos were "Who gave a camera to this idiot plonker", "Just what we need, another wanker making YouTube videos", and "Why do so may gormless cockwombles think they are interesting"; and these comments were coming from channel members. Luckily for Dave, he came into Rusty's life. Early Stardom Rusty made his first appearance in one of Dave's videos in 2019, spiking views for the short time he was on screen. The comments section below the video was quickly flooded with requests asking for more screen time with Rusty and less screen time with Dave. Rusty would make sporadic cameos in a few more videos but it was not enough to satisfy his growing fanbase who could not get enough of him. Whenever a video featured Rusty the comments section would be overwhelmed with relentless demands of more time with Rusty on camera. A New Direction Rusty graciously decided to make his presence a regular occurrence on Dave's videos. It was at that time Rusty thought to move the focus of the channel in a different direction with longer appearances of himself. With Rusty heading things, the channel started to gain traction and viewership increased. In an attempt to satisfy his ravenous fans, Rusty only Livestreams became a regular occurrence. To accommodate the new changes Dave announced he would revamp his studio for Rusty, and specifically add a Rusty cam. The immediate comments on the new videos were a reflection of the change: "We came for the dog." "Who's the guy?" "Can the dog get his own account?" "Honestly, the dog carried this." Stardom At first everyone was happy with the success of Dave's growing channel. Eventually though, jealously pains started to develop. Dave's neanderthal brain struggled to understand the sweeping fame and popularity that came naturally to Rusty. Soon Dave found himself the sidekick on his own channel. His dimwitted mind was unable to comprehend the exciting allure that beamed from Rusty like crepuscular rays. As for Rusty himself, stardom was a whirlwind of change. His fans multiplied and his popularity stretched beyond England's borders. Soon his most devoted fans started calling themselves "Rustinites". With the ever more popular channel, news reporters and paparazzi began asking for interviews. Next came the invites to movie premieres and award shows, followed by interviews on late night talk shows. Commercial ads and numerous TV and film roles were offered. However there was a downside to this new life. Alcohol and illicit kibble was everywhere. Dodgy looking slags were reportedly seen at after parties. Rusty wondered if he could adapt to the "celebrity" lifestyle. For the first time in his life, he questioned his own moral compass. A Modest Proposal Rusty sensed the growing jealousy and resentment Dave was experiencing and feared it would cause damage to Dave and his simplistic mind. Being a modest dog, Rusty decided it would be best for him to step back and let Dave take the spotlight again. Even though it would mean lower view counts and a drop in subscribers, fame and fortune rang hollow for Rusty and he knew that ultimately it was not wise to seek such a shallow, material life. He came to realize that having Dave be the star of the channel actually made him happier than being in the spotlight himself. A proposal was made that the channel videos would feature Dave, and Rusty would assume a sidekick title. As part of the agreement, the view count numbers for all of Rusty's videos were secretly altered, reducing them to a lowly number, thus suppressing the truth. It was also decided only a few of Rusty's Livestreams would be permitted to stay on the channel. This quickly caused an intense demand for bootleg Rusty videos on the black market. Rustinites would throw underground raves with hours of looping Rusty videos projected on large screens and walls. End of an era Concerning the hordes of Rusty's fans, they begrudging accepted Rusty's decision to step back from the limelight. They also pledged to reign in their demands for more videos of Rusty. In addition they pledged to restrain as best they could from insulting Dave's hideous appearance, or his below average intelligence, or his hideous appearance, or his irritating voice, or his hideous appearance, or his annoying mannerisms, or his hideous appearance, or his complete lack of charm and charisma. Most importantly, no one would mention Dave's ick factor which was rated slightly worse than Mikey Smith's toe but obviously better than Nathan Oakley's personality. However, the Rustinites did decide to hold concurrent vigils in London, Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Cornwall, and Sheffield. Fans in Paris, Rome and Berlin as well as several American cities held similar ceremonies. During the vigils, sobbing and horrendous wailing spontaneously broke out as fans spoke about how Rusty had positively affected their lives. With tears in their eyes and streaming down their faces, the fans said their goodbyes to Rusty and dispersed. Prologue In the end the fans respected Rusty's wishes. No more would the comments section be filled with remarks about the minging git blocking Rusty from view. Seeing Rusty happy while just making cameos was enough to satisfy their appetites. It was a collective reckoning and realization that Rusty was a modest dog above all else. The fans took comfort in the one simple fact which they knew in their hearts all along: Rusty is, and always will be, a good boy.
