Ranty is a former proponent of Flat Earth theories who has since renounced these beliefs and embraced scientific reasoning. His return to critical thinking was significantly influenced by the debunking efforts surrounding the analysis of the Blackpool Tower image.

When Ranty deconverted he relinquished control of his flat earth channel and discord server to flat earther called Brandon Toy. The youtube channel still exists RantyFlat and if you go there you will see old videos by Ranty when he was a flat earther and the latest videos are by Brandon Toy. Nothing has been posted to the channel since April 2021 and Brandon's twitter feed has not mentioned Flat Earth since 2019. So it is unclear if Brandon is still a flat earther.

Transition from Flat Earth

The pivotal moment in Ranty's journey away from Flat Earth ideology came with the scrutiny of the famous Blackpool Tower photograph. Captured by Kevin Jackson, this image showcased Blackpool Tower as seen from Southport with the Lake District mountains in the background.
