Sheldon Surya 369 is a flerf and conspiracy theorist prominent on Instagram, having amassed over 960 thousand followers. His flat Earth talking points are about on par with the stupidity of Eric Dubay's.

Its highly likely that Surya is a grifter and may not even believe the dumb things he says. He sells an online "Truth Seekers Society" for $997 a year. If you doubt that anyone is stupid enough to fall for this, you might be surprised to learn there are currently over 10 thousand members. In recent videos, he has also been promoting a shilajit suplement while violating Instagram's branded content policy by not using the paid partnership label.

Flat Earth claims

There shouldn't be land at the equator

Surya thinks the rotation of Earth should cause the ocean to flood any land at the equator.[1]

The sun doesn't set at the north pole

Surya claims the sun never sets at the north pole, and uses a timelapse from The Final Experiment as evidence, not realising the footage was taken in Antarctica. He asserts that this is evidence of flat Earth. While pointing to an animation perfectly explaining how the northern 24 hour sun works on a globe, he says "that makes zero sense to anyone who can think logically, that's not vaccinated".[2]

In reality, the sun doesn't set at the north pole for six months a year, and it is then dark for the following six months. The south pole experiences the same thing but a opposite times of the year, and this is something Surya cannot explain.

Other claims

2025 and multiples of 9 are equal to 9

Surya made a post about the September 2025 lunar eclipse in which he exposes himself as a believer in numerology[3]:

2025 in numerology equals the number 9... The number 9 is the number of completion, the end of cycles, and the rise into a higher frequency... 9 is the Mecca. Every time you double 9 it alwsys equals 9: 9, 18, 27, 36, always equals 9.

Perpetual motion machines are real and a source of unlimited energy

In a reel, Surya shows a video of a "free energy device that is powered by magnets", which is obviously a motor-powered device made to look like a perpetual motion machine. He claims that crop circles are actually blueprints left by "beings" for unlimited energy technology.[4]

Other info

  • Adheres to the concept of flerfspective.[5]
  • Was caught lying about NASA photos of Mars being taken on Devon Island, then claimed NASA deleted the photos from their website.[6]
