David Weiss, also known as "Flat Earth Dave" and by the aliases DIRTH and DITRH (Deep Inside the Rabbit Hole), is a prominent figure in the flat Earth community. He operates multiple YouTube channels and has developed an app related to flat Earth theories.

Lies

Spreads the lie that American schools once taught flat earth. In his efforts to spread this lie, Weiss has committed elder abuse.

Leaky App

DIRTh's app is spectacularly insecure. It's been known to leak user email addresses, coordinates on the globe, and passwords in the clear since October 2024 and is still not fixed as of February 2026. ^[30]

Antisemitism

David Weiss is a Jew who had a Bar Mitzvah. On May 21, 2025, he hosted a Zoom call where about 80 Rabbis and devout Jews were invited. Dave brought Austin Whitsitt, a Holocaust denier and antisemite, to the call. During the call, one of the participants asked Dave if he would denounce antisemitism. He refused.

In the email thread after the show, Dave requested to be removed from the email thread, but before he left, he was specifically asked to denounce Holocaust denial or antisemitism:

David Weiss, do you denounce Antisemitism?
A simple “yes” will do.
Or any other response including no response is clearly “no”.

He refused to answer, making his position clear.

Dave: Right. And I can't see the very very bottom of the lowest buildings, but I can see the rest. Well, the top of the tallest building should be a couple hundred feet below the curve, but we can see the whole city.

Dark Star analysed the photo and showed there is a lot more missing than just the bottom of the lowest buildings.^[35]

The radius has been debunked

Dave: The radius the line from the center of the earth to the surface. It's three, nine, five, nine, 3,959 miles. That's been debunked because the radius tells us the circumference. The radius tells us how much curvature there is over a certain distance. And we can see things far beyond that physical limitation of a globe. So the radius has been debunked.

As the previous example already showed, he ignores the atmosphere.
