Flerfs, or flat earthers, are people in modern times who believe the earth is flat. The purpose of this wiki is to document flerfs and their bad faith cultism.
"Flerfs" are distinct from historical flat earthers, because flerfs are adherents of Rowbothamism — a distinction which is neglected in this description on Wikipedia:
Flat Earth is an archaic and scientifically disproven conception of the Earth's shape as a plane or disk. Many ancient cultures subscribed to a flat-Earth cosmography, notably including ancient near eastern cosmology. The model has undergone a recent resurgence as a conspiracy theory.
In reality, the Rowbothamist model is radically incompatible with ancient cosmologies due its denial of sunset. Socially, it's also a dangerous cult that ingests, distills, and breeds dishonesty and bad faith tactics.
