Randomly bolded and all caps text, weird punctuation scattered on the page, etc. Being a paper book, the text is just black on white paper, but if QE has his way the text would be colorful as if a flerf ate too many crayons and vomited on the page.

Sometimes the QE styling is inside a quote from someone else. It's traditional to add "emphasis mine" when doing that, but the editor missed that little thing.
